FAQ

Will the pump work with my Clik valves?

The pump has a standard Presta head, which does allow the pump to work with a Clik valve. However, based on rider feedback, we're aware that the pump can feel quite stiff during use.

I got the multi tool and pump, why does the tool rattle in the pump?

The multi tool is just one part of a whole. It is designed to be held captive within the EDC tool system. That complete tool can then be inserted into the pump and everything will be held nice, quiet and compact. Here is a link to the complete EDC tool system.

Do you sell replacement pump straps?

Yes! We have three packs of pump mount straps available in the EDC small parts section of the website.

Why is the tool hard to remove form my pump?

It is likely that the top O-ring is dry. Best thing to do is rub a small amount of grease onto the o-ring and re-install it. If that does not help, please email us at support@oneupcomponents.com.

What is the max the pump mount can be spaced from the bolt? WIll this fit my Wide down tube?

The pump mount has a max extension of 30mm from the center of the mounting bolts.

My pump handle is extending while riding, what can I do?

First make sure the handle seal is fully seated onto the handle. Then make sure you are running the pump with the pointed handle up. If it continue to extend, please email us at support@oneupcomponents.com and we can help!

Where is and how do I remove the CO2 inflator head from the pump?

The inflator head of the pump (the anodized green part) doubles as a CO2 inflator head, simply unthread it from the pump and you can thread your CO2 right onto it.

It can be quite snug from assembly, the first removal may require you use an 8mm hex key to unthread it.

Is this pump compatible with both Presta and Shraeder valves?

This pump is only compatible with Presta valves.

What is the max PSI for these pumps?

This pump is designed for MTB and gravel applications. It will happily get to 50-60PSI. Any pressure beyond that is not practical and we do not recommended this pump for high pressure road applications.

The pump doesn't seem to fit my valve, whats going on?

The pump head fits quite snugly on the valves when new. Be sure you give it a firm & straight push down onto the valve before inflating.

"The pump (70cc) is just awesome. I just would prefer a pump smaller with just a storage for the EDC plug kit (I already have the multi tool swat."

I bought an EDC pump

"I bought an EDC pump + EDC V2 tool + EDC plug & pliers kit: everything's matching like in a dream. The pump and tools provide great perceived quality and served their purpose every time I needed them. At the same time, I use a box that fits in the bottle cage with a few bandages, disinfectant wipes, a few zip ties, a quick link, an inner tube and an aluminum sheet (to be placed between the inner tube and the tire in the event of a tear in the tire). I highly recommend this kit if you want to go on long rides with peace of mind and have enough at hand to repair 90% of breakdowns. I digress… but have to say that the customer service at One Up is super friendly and answered my queries very fast and accurately. They won a lifetime customer."

Q&A

Until recently I have been using Schrader valves so your pumps weren't compatible. Recently I modified my valves to Schwalbe Clik Valve (SCV) so even though technically your pumps would fit, obviously I'd prefer the convenience of an actual Clik Valve pump (in how it stays put when pumping). Considering a Clik Valve pump would also fit a Presta valve, would you eventually release a Clik Valve pump or otherwise an adaptor to modify your current pumps? Thanks a lot and have a great weekend!
Hey Vinay! Our pumps work with Schwalbe's Clik valves as they do with a normal presta valve, but aren't making full use of that new technology. We don't currently have any firm plans for an updated pump head or similar, but it's certainly been noted and we will continue to consider compatibility options as that technology develops & gains popularity.
I want to switch to clik valves. Will you provide a clik compatible head (as a replacement)
Hi Matthias, we don't have anything in the works at the moment for providing clik compatible heads. This feedback is appreciated, and passed along!
Hi, I have an EDC Pump. Is there an adaptation for the Schwalbe Clik valve system? Wolf Tooth has such an adaption for their pumps. Best regards, Kai
Hi Kai, At this time we don't offer a Clik specific head, however the current Presta head should work with the Clik valves still, just without the additional benefits. Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.  Cheers,
Does the 100cc EDC Pump kit fit to any bike? Can I put it in my Canyon?
Hi Manuel, Thanks for your message, I'm happy to help. The pumps are not designed to fit inside a frame, however some bikes with internal storage can fit the 70CC pump. The 100CC is too long to fit in most frames. We haven't officially tested every frame on the market so it's possible it won't fit inside yours. Hope this helps, please let me know if there's anything else I can do for you. Cheers,
Can i fit a bottle cage above the pump bottle cage mount, if i use longer bolts? (I only have om bottle cage mount)
Hey Stefan, You sure can! You don't even need longer bolts, the ones that come with the pump are long enough to go through a bottle cage and the pump mount. Hope this helps, please let me know if there's anything else I can do for you. Cheers,
