STEP 1: Remove end caps

Remove end caps by hand, clean them and set them aside. They are specific to their respective sides so take note for assembly.

STEP 2: Non drive side bearing removal

Place the base from the drift kit ( part 3/4) into your vice. Tighten the vice onto the flats of that base.

Now you can place the wheel onto the base, non-drive side down (side with the brake rotor). Place the Axle drift (part 4/4) into the top of the axle.

Using your hammer against the Axle Drift punch the non-drive side bearing out of the hub shell. Remember to do this slow and ensure the axle & bearing are exiting the hub shell as straight as possible.

STEP 3: Drive side bearing removal

After removing the axle and bearing, flip the wheel over and place it driver side down onto the base (part 3/4). Put the axle back into the hub shell and through the remaining bearing. Place the Axle drift (part 4/4) into the top of the axle. Using your hammer against the Axle Drift punch the non-drive side bearing out of the hub shell. Remember to do this slow and ensure the axle & bearing are exiting the hub shell as straight as possible.

STEP 4: Clean and grease hub shell

With both bearings removed, clean hub shell and axle thoroughly. Apply a thin layer of grease to both bearing seats within the hub shell.

STEP 5: Non drive side bearing install

Place the hub back onto the base, drive side down. Place the new bearing into the non drive side of the hub shell. Place the guide in the hub shell around the new bearing and then the bearing drift (part 1/4) on top of the bearing then the axle and axle drift into the bearing drift. Using your hammer against the axle drift, press bearing until firmly seated into the hub shell.

STEP 6: Axle install

Flip the hub over on the base. After applying a thin layer of the grease to the axle, slide the new bearing onto the top of the axle. Slide the axle into the hub shell and through the back of the new non drive side bearing.

Take note of the direction of the axle, the drive side of the axle is denoted by an arrow lasered onto it.

STEP 7: Drive side bearing install

Once the axle is standing centered in the hub shell. You can now place the guide (part 2/4) around the bearing and the bearing drift on top of the bearing. You can now hammer the bearing down into place.

STEP 8: Function check

Once fully seated, check the axle for any play or binding. If there is play, then the bearings need to be pressed fully into their seats. If there is binding, lightly tap the axle to correct the position of the bearings.

STEP 9: Install end caps

Lightly grease the outsides of both bearings. Ensuring you have the correct sides, push the end caps back onto the axles.
