FAQ

How does the OneUp Carbon Handlebar compare to other carbon handlebars on the market in terms of comfort and responsiveness?

We have bench marked our OneUp Carbon Handlebar against the most popular carbon bars on the market and the results were a 21% increase in vertical compliance (comfort) coupled with a 28% increase in steering stiffness (responsiveness). These are more than just marginal gains and make the OneUp Carbon Handlebar one of the most comfortable and responsive bars on the market.

What are the dimensions of the OneUp Carbon Handlebar?

The OneUp Carbon Handlebar has a geometry of 800mm wide with a 35mm diameter and a sweep of 8° back and 5° up.

How much does the OneUp Carbon Handlebar weigh?

The OneUp Carbon Handlebar weighs 220g for the 20mm rise option and 225g for the 35mm rise option.

How does the OneUp Carbon Handlebar minimize arm pump and vibration?

The OneUp Carbon Handlebar minimizes arm pump and vibration with its patented oval shape which combines the best ride characteristics of 31.8mm and 35mm bar standards into one package. This shape maximizes steering response while minimizing arm pump and vibration.

How does the OneUp Carbon Handlebar help decrease hand pain when riding mountain bikes?

The OneUp Carbon Handlebar minimizes hand pain by providing a more comfortable and compliant ride. The bar's patented oval shape combines the best ride characteristics of 31.8mm and 35mm bar standards into one package, maximizing steering response while minimizing arm pump and vibration. This leads to less fatigue and hand pain during long rides.

How short can I cut these bars down?

Our bars can be cut down to a minimum of 740mm. Any further you risk clamping your controls onto the ovalized flex zone of the bar. Doing so could compromise the integrity of the bar.

Do the decals come pre-installed?

The decals do not come installed. They are shipped on two sheets with a few other decal options for you. The lasered Gloss black "ONE" logo on the bars is a guide to help you position the colors decal kit.

Are the cable ports compatible with my Specialized?

Specialized wiring is too large in diameter to fit our E-bars wire ports. You can still use our E-bar, but you will not be able to internally route the wires.

What is the torque spec on these bars?

Max torque specs for our carbon bars is 6Nm for the stem clamp and 5Nm for the controls (brakes, shifter, grips). Grips with a single outer clamp are also not compatible with our carbon bars.

Q&A

Hi Marco, thanks for your interest in our bars! I can't say if you'll need a longer cable, but if it's any help, our E-bars do not come with any cabling. Someone from Propain or Shimano may be able to help!
Hello, on which line should the handlebars be positioned with the stem?Because the carbon v2 version and the e-MTB version have different positioning lines, your manual shows you the diagram for the V2 handlebar and the name of the e-MTB handlebar. Which line should I use to reach zero? Thank you.
Hey lasvignes, Thanks for reaching out. I can't say for certain which line you should start with but I have two general setup guides that should help. 1. Aligning the headtube angle with the bars: Find out the head tube angle of your bike. Align the corresponding line on the bars with the line that's created at the top of your stem, by the faceplate and body. This works for stems that have the face plate in the same plane (parallel) to the fork steerer. Our stem is a good example of this. If your face plate doesn't meet the stem body, align the angle line with the face of the stem body. This should align the flex with the ground. 2. Aligning the forks with the bars: This method is a bit less precise, and requires eye-balling the alignment. Gently clamp the bars in your stem so that you can rotate them. Centre the bars in the stem. Visually align the flat spots of the bar to be perpendicular to your fork. Clamp the bar to the specified torque rating. This will align the flex of the bar in the same plane as the fork travel. I personally prefer the second method and find it provides a more comfortable position, however, bar roll and positioning is very much a personal preference. I highly recommend playing around with it, making small adjustments and then riding to find your sweet spot. Everyone is different.
WhatsApp is the max riders weigth
Hey Christian, out test riders are around 250lbs.
Hi, is it ok for bosch smart system Led Remote connector? Thx Andrea
Hey Andrea, I am not familiar with this connector. The ports on the bar are 10.5mm and 5mm, so if the connections are under that measurement they will work. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hi, I have some questions about the Carbon E-Bar. Assuming an uncut bar with a 35 mm rise that's 800 mm long, what is the length, from the ends of the bar, of the round 22.2 mm section before it gives way to the ovalized section? And how far are the left and right E-bike ports from the respective bar ends? Finally, while your website claims the width of the bars can be reduced to as much as 740 mm, the photos would appear to indicate 750 mm - which is it? Many thanks and regards...
Hi Christian, Thanks for your message, I'm happy to help.  Approximately 230mm of round tube before the oval section starts. The start of the hole for the wire is 55mm from the end of the bar on both sides. 750mm is the minimum width the bars can be trimmed to. Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.  Cheers,
